What is Collections?
Collections is a tool where all of your favorite thumbnails, outliers, alerts, and A|B tests live! Think of collections as your own personal treasure chest of customized content that you can take inspiration from. As you continue to search for viral videos in your niche, when you find an interesting video, save it to your collections by clicking the (🔖) Bookmark icon on any video across any tool!
How can I maximize Collections?
We recommend making individual folders for the content type that you’d like to study. For example, create a “car” folder for car specific content and a “minecraft” folder for minecraft specific content. This will ensure you can save your favorite videos to those specific folders. After your collections are built out, you can even sort them by oldest to newest, most to least items, and more!
What is Ideation?
Ideation was made to be your personal testing dashboard. With Ideation you can create, compare and preview your title & thumbnail packaging. This powerful tool gives you the ability to see if your content is going to stand out before even posting it. It’s a major cheat code!
How can i access ideation?
Ideation currently lives inside of collections. In order to access the ideations tool, first you must open any folder created in ideation and then the ideation button will appear on the top right. Go ahead and click on ideation to get started!
Titles
Now that you’ve found out how to access ideation, let’s dive into all the cool benefits of this tool. Start by creating some video titles and saving them to have multiple options to choose from.
Profile Name & Picture
You can also customize the profile picture and channel name by clicking on the top left and setting up a new profile. We highly recommend setting the profile picture and name to your current Youtube channel pic/name for the most accurate results.
Thumbnails
Now you can upload as many thumbnails as you’d like and pair the thumbnails with any titles that are also created. Once you’ve found a great combination, click on “preview” - this is a game changer as it will display your thumbnail and title combo exactly as it’s going to show up on Youtube. Does your packaging combo stand out?
Save your designs
Now once you’ve made a great packaging combo, save your design. Ideally you’d have many designs saved for different title/thumbnail combinations. Don’t forget to take any relevant notes on the bottom notes section! When these designs are saved, you can head over to the “saved” section and compare all of your favorite designs before making a decision as to which ones to upload. Now go out there, create, design, and get noticed!
