The outlier Score highlights videos that perform significantly better than the average video on their channel. A higher score means a video is a clear standout for that channel.
How Outlier Score works:
Outlier Scores compare each video’s views to the channel’s average, not subscriber count or general popularity. If a video gets significantly more views than the average, this would be considered an outlier. A channel’s subscriber count isn’t part of the calculation—only the video’s performance compared to other videos on that channel matters.
Filtering trends:
Use filters like keywords, view count and upload date to spot patterns and relevant content faster.
Example:
On a 4 million-subscriber channel, a video that received 150,000 views while the average video only received 5,000 views will score high and be labeled as a 15X outlier in this case — making it a true outlier based on performance.
