Getting Started
After downloading the Viewstats app from the App Store, sign in using your existing Viewstats credentials. If you're new to Viewstats, you can create an account directly from the app.
The app features four main sections, accessible from the bottom navigation bar, plus an iOS widget:
- Home: Track trending channels, browse by categories, and see top performing content
- Top Lists: View ranked lists of channels and videos by performance metrics
- Favorites: Access your saved channels for quick monitoring
- Profile: Manage your account and settings
- Widgets: Stay updated with the latest videos from your favorite channels with our iOS widget.
Home Dashboard
The Home screen is your command center for YouTube analytics:
Key features on the Home screen:
- Search bar: Tap to search for any channel (try "MrBeast" or any creator)
- Category tabs: Switch between views like "Trending Channels" and "Top Views"
- Channel list: See channel performance at a glance with 24-hour view counts and growth trends
- Browse By Categories: Filter content by niche (Entertainment, Music, Gaming, etc.)
- Top performance metrics: Scroll down to see "Top Subs Gained," "Top Views Gained," "Top Longs," and "Top Shorts" from the past 7 days
Search Functionality
Find any channel or creator instantly:
To search effectively:
- Tap the search bar at the top of the Home screen
- Enter a channel name (e.g., "MrBeast")
- View results with subscriber counts for context
- Tap any result to see full analytics
The search interface automatically displays the most relevant channels based on your query and sorts them by subscriber count for easy reference.
Channel Analytics
Get in-depth metrics for any YouTube channel:
To access channel analytics:
- Search for a channel using the search bar
- Tap on the channel from search results
- View the channel overview screen
What you'll see:
- Channel stats header: Total views, subscribers, and country
- Navigation tabs: Overview, Videos, Similar, About
- Growth chart: View trends with toggles for 24h, 7D, 28D, 1Y, and All time
- Performance metrics: High, low, and average view counts with growth indicators
- Recent uploads: Most recent videos with view counts and performance estimates
- Content breakdown: Longs vs Shorts distribution with percentage split
- Similar channels: Quick access to comparable creators
- Top List rankings: See which performance lists this channel appears on
Video Analytics
Analyze any video's performance in detail:
To access video analytics:
- Navigate to a channel
- Tap on a video from the "Recent" section
- View the video details screen
Key metrics available:
- View trend graph: Visual representation of view velocity with time period toggles
- Typical Performance range: Shows how this video compares to channel average
- Estimated Revenue: Based on view count and engagement
- Performance stats: Total views, likes, and comments
- Rank indicator: How the video ranks among the channel's recent uploads
- Change Gallery: View thumbnail changes, and title modifications
- Daily Performance: Detailed day-by-day metrics (access via red button)
Top Lists
Discover the best-performing channels and videos across YouTube:
The Top Lists tab offers:
- Channels vs Videos toggle: Switch between channel rankings and video rankings

Favorites
Keep track of your most important channels:
To use the Favorites feature:
- While viewing any channel, tap the star icon in the upper right corner
- Access all favorited channels by tapping the "Favorite" tab in the bottom navigation
- Get quick insights on your saved channels without having to search
This feature is perfect for:
- Tracking competitors consistently
- Monitoring your own channel's performance
- Keeping inspiration channels accessible
- Building a personalized analytics dashboard
Pro Tip: Add both large and small channels to your favorites to get a balanced view of what's working across different audience sizes.
iOS Widgets
Keep Stay up to date with the latest videos from your favorite channels using our iOS widget. It’s the easiest way to keep your favorite creator’s stats on your home screen.
Installing it is super easy:
- Long press on your home screen
- Trap the + icon on the top left
- Search for “Viewstats”
- Tap “Add widget”
- Select your favorite channels
- Sit back, relax, and get updates instantly
Troubleshooting
Experiencing issues with the app? Try these steps:
- Ensure you're running the latest version of the app
- Force close and restart the app
- Check your internet connection
- Clear the app cache (in your device settings)
- Log out and log back in
- Reinstall the app if problems persist
If you see "Missing Data" notices, this is normal for recently added channels. The app will gather more complete data within a few days.
