Viewstats gets its info from YouTube's public API, just like what you see on public YouTube pages. YouTube Analytics has private data only for channel owners and is usually the most current.
The view counts you see on Viewstats might be different from YouTube Analytics because of how the data is collected. Viewstats pulls data from the YouTube Public API over a few days and shows it in an easy-to-read way. But remember, Viewstats isn't a replacement for YouTube Analytics. YouTube Analytics has private data just for channel owners and is usually the most current, so differences in view counts between Viewstats and YouTube Analytics can happen.
